A powerful southern swell originating down by New Zealand brought the usual 2-3′ waves up to 5-10′ at Kalaeloa Beach. The onshore waves broke with tremendous force, knocking down and sweeping away most of the young keiki (children) and unwary adults. Saejun and Jihan had a blast playing in the water. The full moon came out just as the sun went down making for a vibrant sunset.
